The Egyptian Association of Emergency Medicine is being founded by and for the emergency physicians of Egypt. Tell us you are interested in joining and we will keep you informed as the Association takes shape.
Emergency departments are where most Egyptians first meet the health system in a crisis. The physicians who staff them deserve a professional home that represents them, trains them and gives them a voice.
EAEM will bring emergency physicians together across universities, Ministry of Health and Population hospitals and the private sector, so that knowledge, standards and opportunities are shared nationally rather than held in individual departments.
Build one national community of emergency physicians, residents and students across every governorate, from the Delta to Upper Egypt and Sinai.
Deliver continuing professional development, skills courses and an annual scientific meeting, and support postgraduate training in emergency medicine.
Foster emergency medicine research in Egypt, mentor new investigators and build collaborative, multi-centre projects.
Develop evidence-based guidance and quality standards for emergency departments and emergency care across Egypt.
Speak for emergency physicians and their patients on workforce, safety, resources and the recognition of the specialty.
Work with national health bodies, universities and international emergency medicine organisations.
Membership will be open to everyone who practises, trains in or is preparing for a career in emergency medicine in Egypt, and to Egyptian emergency physicians working abroad.
Proposed categories include full members, associate members for residents and trainees, affiliate members for students and interns, international members, and honorary members. Final criteria and fees will be confirmed at the inaugural General Assembly.
Expressing interest is not a membership application and carries no commitment or fee. When membership opens, we will contact you first.

Every patient in Egypt who needs emergency care is met by a skilled, well-supported emergency physician, wherever they live.
EAEM brings together the emergency physicians of Egypt to raise the standard of emergency care through education, training, research, professional standards, advocacy and partnership.
We will do this by working on six fronts:
These values guide how the Association works, how it makes decisions and how its members represent it.
EAEM is under establishment. A Founding Committee is preparing the Association's constitution and its formal registration under Egyptian law, and is gathering expressions of interest from emergency physicians across the country.
This statement of vision, mission and values is a draft. It will be refined with founding members and adopted at the inaugural General Assembly.
